Rust converter, 200 ml
NANOPROTECH Rust converter is a phosphoric acid based treatment that prepares rusty metal for painting. It turns stubborn rust left after a rust remover into a water-insoluble phosphate primer, grey to black in colour, and prevents electrochemical corrosion under the paint. No separate primer is needed: paint 24 hours after the treated surface has dried.
The 200 ml bottle covers about 2 m², depending on how thick the rust layer is.

Questions and answers
What is the difference between a rust converter and a rust remover?
A remover dissolves rust: the corrosion products are rinsed off with water, leaving clean metal. A converter chemically turns residual rust into a primer layer, so there is no need to clean down to bare metal or prime separately. In short: first the remover, several times on heavy rust, then the converter on the rust that remains.
When can I paint after treatment?
24 hours after drying. First let the product dry for at least 30 minutes, keeping moisture away. If necessary, clean off the formed primer mechanically and repeat the treatment.
How much product do I need?
About one 200 ml bottle per 2 m², depending on how thick the rust is. Apply with a brush or roller at +15 °C or above.
Do I need to remove all the rust first?
Not all of it. Clean off dirt, grease and loose rust, then take the rust off with Rust remover, repeating the treatment on heavy rust; rinse with water and let the area dry completely. The converter goes only on the firmly bonded, hard-to-remove rust that remains. Shake the bottle well before use.
What precautions should I take?
The product contains orthophosphoric acid: avoid swallowing it and contact with eyes and skin; in case of contact, rinse with plenty of running water. Store it closed in a dry, dark place at up to +25 °C, out of the reach of children.

Recommendation for use
1. Clean dirt, grease and loose rust off the metal surface.
2. Be sure to shake the bottle before use, then apply the product to the area with a brush or roller.
3. Leave to dry for at least 30 minutes, keeping moisture away.
4. For a better result, mechanically clean off the primer layer that has formed and repeat the treatment.
5. Paint 24 hours after drying.
Apply at an ambient temperature of +15 °C or above. Coverage: about 1 bottle per 2 m², depending on the thickness of the rust layer.

Service and shelf life
Shelf life: 24 months from the date of manufacture. Store in a closed container in a dry, dark place at no higher than +25 °C. Dispose of as household waste.
