Super glue for glass, 2 ml
NANOPROTECH Super glue for glass is a clear, light-curing UV glue for glass that hardens in sunlight or under an ultraviolet lamp. It bonds glass and crystal, as well as glass to metal, wood and plastic, and is suitable for attaching rear-view mirrors. In normal light it sets in 20 seconds, takes load after 30 minutes and reaches maximum strength after 24 hours.
The 2 ml pack: apply the glue to one of the surfaces only, and store it in a dark place at +5 °C to +30 °C.
What you can bond and repair
- Clear, coloured and toughened glass and crystal items.
- Joints between glass and metal, wood or plastic — the light reaches the joint through the glass.
- Mirrors, including rear-view mirrors.
- Acrylic glass and costume jewellery.
- Windscreen crack repair: small cracks outside the driver's field of view only, as a temporary fix until a specialist repair or windscreen replacement; chips are not filled with this glue.
- It does not bond two opaque parts — ceramics, porcelain, metal to metal: without light the glue in the joint will not cure. Use epoxy putty (cold weld) for these.
- Not for dishes that come into contact with food and drink, or for glass that heats up above +100 °C: ovens, hobs, kettles.
How the UV curing adhesive works
- Ultraviolet light starts the curing: bond in direct sunlight outdoors or under a UV lamp, such as a nail lamp or a UV torch. Window glass blocks some of the UV, so indoors, in cloudy weather and in winter a lamp is needed; shine it on the joint through the transparent part.
- Sets in 20 seconds in normal light.
- Takes load after 30 minutes and reaches maximum strength after 24 hours.
- Forms a clear bond that resists water, vibration and temperature.
- Temperature resistance: −60 °C to +100 °C.
- Wipe off excess glue straight away with a dry cloth or one moistened with solvent.
Suitable for
Clear, coloured and toughened glass, crystal, costume jewellery and acrylic glass, as well as glass bonded to metal, wood, plastic, porcelain or ceramics: at least one part must let light through to the joint. It is used to repair mirrors and crystal items at home and in the car.

Questions and answers
Do I need a UV lamp to use it?
Not always. Outdoors in direct sunlight the glue cures without a lamp, but indoors, through window glass, in cloudy weather and in winter you need a UV lamp — a nail lamp or a UV torch will do. In normal light it sets in 20 seconds.
Can it repair a cracked windscreen?
Only as a temporary fix for a small crack outside the driver's field of view, until the windscreen is repaired by a specialist or replaced. Chips are not filled with this glue — take them to a specialist. It is also suitable for bonding rear-view mirrors.
Can it repair dishes or bond ceramics and porcelain?
Dishes that come into contact with food and drink are not repaired with it, and neither is glass that heats up above +100 °C, such as in ovens, hobs and kettles. Ceramics, porcelain and metal can be bonded only to glass or another transparent part: the glue cures where light reaches it, so it will not bond two opaque parts.
How long does glass glue take to set?
20 seconds in normal light. The joint can take load after 30 minutes and reaches maximum strength after 24 hours.
How do I remove excess glue?
Straight after bonding, with a dry cloth or one moistened with solvent. Before bonding, clean old glue off the surfaces, sand them, degrease and let them dry.

Recommendation for use
1. Clean any old glue residue off the bonding areas, sand them with sandpaper, degrease and let dry.
2. Apply the glue to one of the surfaces.
3. Bonding must be done in daylight or under a UV lamp.
4. Join the glass and the other surface and press them firmly together. Setting time: 20 seconds in normal light.
5. Excess glue can be removed with a dry or solvent-moistened cloth immediately after bonding.
6. Do not load the joint earlier than 30 minutes after bonding.
7. Maximum bond strength is reached after 24 hours.
