Chain cleaner, 400 ml
NANOPROTECH Chain cleaner is an aerosol degreaser for the chains of bicycles, motorcycles, mopeds and scooters, used before fresh lube is applied. Its blend of solvents completely removes old lubricant, carbon deposits, oil and grease, works without dismantling and suits chains with or without seals. The product evaporates fully after application, so the chain only needs a wipe with a dry cloth.
The 400 ml can (300 ml of product) suits regular bike and motorbike chain cleaning at home or in the garage.

How do I clean a bike chain before lubricating it?
Shake the can and spray the cleaner onto the chain — and onto the cassette and derailleurs if needed. Let it evaporate completely, wipe the chain with a dry cloth and only then apply fresh lube. Repeat for heavy soiling.
Do I need to remove the chain to clean it?
No. The cleaner works without dismantling: spray it straight onto the chain fitted to the bike or motorbike.
Can it be used on O-ring and X-ring chains?
Yes. It suits chains with O-ring and X-ring seals as well as chains without seals.
Why clean the chain before applying lube?
So the lube works inside the links instead of collecting dust. Excess wet lube attracts dust on dry dirt roads, so apply it only to a cleaned chain and wipe the outer surfaces dry.
What safety precautions apply?
Use the cleaner in a well-ventilated area away from open flames: the can is pressurised and the product is flammable. Do not heat the can above +50 °C. Keep the cleaner off brake discs, pads and rims and the painted frame: cover them with a cloth and wipe off any splashes straight away. In case of contact, rinse skin with soapy water and eyes with water.

Recommendation for use
Be sure to shake the can, then spray the product onto the chain. Let it evaporate completely. Wiping with a dry cloth is recommended. Repeat if necessary.

Service and shelf life
Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture. The date of manufacture is on the bottom of the can. Store indoors in a dry, ventilated room at least 1 m away from heating appliances, at −10 °C to +35 °C.
Safety measures
Pressurised container! Protect from direct sunlight and do not expose to temperatures above +50 °C. Do not store or spray near open flames, hot objects or live electrical equipment. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Use in a well-ventilated area. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water. In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water. FLAMMABLE! After use or once the shelf life has expired, dispose of as household waste. Does not deplete the ozone layer.
